SEN - Autistic child learning a new skill through play

Play and Learn Sessions

Home teaching sessions are all about learning through play! Designed for children aged 0–5 whose development is delayed, they focus on building new skills in a fun and engaging way. They’re a great form of early intervention for parents who have a child on waiting lists or are worried that their child may have additional needs and are losing valuable time. Each one-hour session takes place in your home and is tailored to your child’s needs—whether that’s developing speech, language or interaction skills, or working on play, toileting, and sleep. The goal is to help close the gap and get your little one ready for pre-school or school—while making sure they have fun along the way. Progress and smiles are guaranteed! For parents who don’t live close enough for in-person sessions, I’ve adapted them to be delivered online. While these sessions will be a little different, as I won’t be working directly with your child, they are still a great way to gain guidance, ideas, and support. If you’d like to learn more about Play and Learn sessions, please get in touch. Prices start at £65

EHCP Support services

An Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) is a legally binding document that sets out the support, resources, staffing, and funding a child needs to thrive in school. However, the process of securing an EHCP is complex, time-consuming, and overwhelming for many. I provide expert guidance to help you navigate the system with confidence, whilst understanding your legal rights, and getting the support your child is entitled to.

My EHCP services include:

  • Applying for an EHC needs assessment

  • Supporting you in completing your parental contribution

  • Conducting an EHCP “health check” to ensure it meets your child’s needs

  • Challenging and appealing local authority decisions

  • With clear advice and hands-on support, I will help you cut through the confusion and secure the right help for your child. Prices start at £100

School liaison services

When your child is struggling at school, it feels overwhelming and frustrating—not knowing where to turn, how to get the right support, or what your rights are. Schools should work in partnership with families, but sometimes parents find themselves facing barriers, delays, or feeling unheard. That’s where I can help.

I offer expert guidance and practical support to help you navigate the school system. Whether you’re facing difficulties with communication, struggling to secure the right support, or need help understanding the SEN legal side of things, I’m here to empower you with knowledge, confidence, and a clear plan of action.

How I Can Support You:

  • Understanding Your Child’s Rights – I’ll explain your child’s entitlements under SEN law and education policies, so you know exactly what support they should be receiving.

  • School Meetings & Advocacy – I can help you prepare for school meetings, ensuring you know what to ask for and how to present your concerns and expectations, effectively. If needed, I can also attend meetings with you for extra support.

  • Securing the Right Support – Whether it’s extra help in class, or ensuring provison in your child’s EHCP is being delivered, I’ll guide you through the process to ensure your child gets what they need.

  • Handling Disagreements & Challenges – If you’re facing pushback from the school, struggling to get responses, or worried about attending a difficult meeting I’ll help you navigate these challenges and find a way forward.

  • Reducing Stress & Giving You Confidence – Above all, I want to help take the pressure off, making sure you feel informed, supported, and ready to advocate for your child effectively.
